STRATEGIC DREAMER WITH ART IN HER GENES

Mimi Eanes has been sprinkling her creative pixie dust on design projects with good vibes and finesse for 30+ years. The daughter of a Virginia-born father and Polish-born mother, she grew up experiencing quite an interesting mix of world views, and began drawing and imagining early on. Art and ingenuity run deeply through her family tree.

After receiving a BA in Communications Art at Roanoke College in Salem, VA, she honed her graphic design and conceptual skills at Portfolio Center in Atlanta (now part of Miami Ad School). For the next few years she lived in the DC area and then Charlottesville, VA, where Studio 13 was born, before returning to her hometown. She now lives in Roanoke with her husband Tim and several highly opinionated felines.

Known for her soulful design savvy, collaborative approach, and dedication to her craft, Mimi’s work transforms a mix of hand-drawn elements, typography, whimsical patterns, collage and color theory into design alchemy. During her career she has been priviledged to work on projects for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike, always with the utmost creative care. Her preferred focus is on animal causes, the arts, and retail.

Mimi returned to painting and fine art in 2022 and shares her work on Instagram. She enjoys helping pets and giving back to her community by serving on the volunteer photo team at Roanoke Valley SPCA and creating art for Angels of Assisi’s Pet Clinic and Adoption Center.
